We at LD Pensions are committed to playing our part in the transition to an environmentally restorative, socially just, and economically inclusive future. Not only is this transition important for the future of the Earth, but we see it as equally important to the future of business and investing.
As the manager of pension funds for 540,000 Danish employees it is part of our remit to use that position to not only create financial return for our trustees, but also to work for a society where everyone can thrive and prosper. Therefore, we aspire to become a Future-Fit Business.
As a global investor with a broad economic and social responsibility, it is imperative that our management strategy accounts for the seismic shifts our economy is facing. We therefore prioritise that our financial assets safeguard the pursuit of future-fitness and that business is conducted ethically. We will strive to eliminate the negative impact arising from these assets.
In addition, it is important for LD Pensions to support companies who progress on the journey towards reducing their negative impact by providing long-term capital and ownership as well as recommend investee companies to start integrating sustainability into their core business strategy with the use of the Future-Fit Business Benchmark.
This statement signals our intent to join the Future-Fit Pioneer program and to continue to show our progress annually. We encourage other businesses to do the same by sharing their progress.
